Interactive creative/art director Matt Bergen brings experience, versatility and a proven talent for success to RMG where his medical
clients include Baxter Healthcare and Pioneer Surgical. Prior to joining RMG, Matt worked at MRM Worldwide for clients including General
Mills, General Motors, H&R Block, National City Bank and Purina. Matt also worked at Martin/Williams Advertising where he was on the
creative teams for Lincoln Financial, Pfizer, Marvin Windows, Payless Shoes and Revlon. Matt holds a B.F.A from Moorhead State University
and an M.F.A. from Tyler School of Art.
Ashley Bruce
Strategy
As strategist, Ashley conducts quantitative and qualitative research for her clients in order to gain a better understanding of their
target audience, brand perceptions, and other factors that influence opinion and behavior. Using an analytical eye to decipher research
results and an innovative perspective to uncover insights, Ashley then develops branding, positioning and messaging strategies that will
drive her clients' marketing communications. Ashley's medical experience includes Baxter Healthcare, Canopy Medical, Donatelle Medical
Manufacturing, Fairview Pharmacy Services, National Marrow Donor Program and Vision-Ease Lens. Ashley is a graduate of the University of
Wisconsin – Madison with a B.A. in Journalism and French.

The president of Risdall Online Marketing, Josh helps clients use the internet to promote their products, services and web presence
in the most effective way possible. He is expert in search marketing optimization (organic and sponsored), online media buying,
affiliate marketing and web analytics and uncannily focused on ROA/ROAS/Performance. His experience includes Baxter Healthcare,
Fairview Health Services, GoGirl, Hearing Components, Montgomery Dental, Orthodontic Care Specialists and 3M. He holds a BSB from
the University of Minnesota's Carlson School of Management.
Phil Heoschen

Outstanding Web design and state-of-the art animation skills are what interactive art director Phil Hoeschen brings to the table for
his RMG clients. Additionally, Phil's skills in 2D and 3D animation and experience in audio engineering and graphic design help bring
a new level of refinement to clients' Web concepts and design. Phil's medical experience includes work for Associated Dental, Baxter
Healthcare, Biothera, Fairview Health Services, Genentech, Hybrid Medical Animation, Medafor, Medtronic, OptumHealth, PureZone and
Zirc, among others. Phil attended the School of Communication Arts (Multimedia Design & 3D Animation), Academy Education (Multimedia
Design) and Hennepin Technical College (Audio Engineering).
Tina Karelson

As creative director and copywriter, Tina brings decades of experience to her leadership role in the creative department. Her ability to
understand complex information and concepts and distill them into clear, compelling communications is the foundation of her success with
clients like AGA Medical, Baxter Healthcare, Compex, CoreSpine, Fairview Pharmacy Services, OptumHealth, POET (Pharmacy Outcome Enhancement
Technologies), Vertebral Technologies and 3M. Tina has a B.A. in English and Journalism and an M.A. in English from the University of Minnesota.
She has been a winning contestant on the game show Jeopardy!.
Chris Peterson
Online Marketing
Chris has a broad range of online marketing experience, with a focus on search engine optimization (SEO) and search engine marketing (SEM). As vice president of Risdall
Online Marketing Group, he plays a key role in helping our clients maximize their presence on the internet. Clients have included AGA Medical, Allina Hospitals & Clinics,
Baxter Healthcare, Healthways, Hospira, Metro Dental, PureZone, Spectacle Shoppe and Vision-Ease Lens. Prior to joining the Risdall team, one of his jobs included assisting
Google engineers with the interface for Google Checkout. Chris has a B.S. in Marketing from Montana State University.
John Risdall
Management
John created Risdall Advertising in 1972 after working for others as a copywriter and account supervisor handling Benson Optical, Blue Cross, Pillsbury and Sara Lee. The agency
has since blossomed into a multi-dimensional advertising and marketing organization serving hundreds of clients locally, nationally and globally. Although his business and
community accomplishments are too numerous to list, in 2009, he went back to the University of Minnesota after a 41-year hiatus and successfully completed his Bachelor's degree.

its belt, Risdall Marketing Group integrates top design with functionality in cost-effective implementations. Ted has a master's degree from the American Graduate School of
International Management (Thunderbird).
Jim Sandstrom

As Director of Media Services, Jim brings decades of experience with advertising agency and client-side media planning and buying. While media director at NordicTrack, Jim was responsible
for growing his department from five to 18 people and increasing media spending from $10 million to over $50 million. Jim was also the first media director at Fallon McElligott
Rice (now Fallon), where he built a 34-person media department and was responsible for billings in excess of $60 million annually. He has worked with clients like AGA Medical, Baxter
Healthcare, BioScrip, Go Girl, Hospira, Medica and Miracle Ear. He has a B.A. from the University of Minnesota and an M.S. from Northwestern University.
Joel Swanson
Public Relations
As senior vice president in the public relations area, Joel has a broad base of experience in health care and education. Among his successes at Risdall, he has helped turn a feminine medical
device into a hot consumer brand called Go Girl, led an integrated market visibility campaign for a publicly traded wellness company, helped a local assisted care facility through a major
media crisis, and re-branded a prominent social services nonprofit. Clients have included Allina Health System, Baxter Worldwide, Blue Cross, Buyer's Healthcare Action Group, Entellus Medical,
Healthways, Metro Dentalcare, the Minnesota Hospital Association, Prime Therapeutic, the Ronald McDonald House and SurModics. Other clients include a host of education and government-related
entities. Joel has a Bachelor's degree from St. Cloud State and a Master's from Bethel University.
